Jan describes herself as an innovative watercolour artist who strives to extend the boundaries of watercolour beyond its traditional roots. She is continuously experimenting with new techniques. The common characteristic linking her paintings is colour intensity. In doing so she creates cheerful and lively works and draws much of her subject matter from the natural environment.
In 2006 Jan held her first art exhibition and started teaching watercolours as well as running regular workshops. Since 2007 she has been a guest artist in residence on Hamilton Island where she holds regular art exhibitions. Her artwork is held in private collections in Australia and overseas.
Recent Awards:

Winner of Winsor and Newton Tricky Techniques Painting Competition 2009.
Next exhibition 2011:
Hamilton Island Art Gallery, Qld.
Jan will be returning to Hamilton Island again in June/July 2011 for her next exhibition.
